Raku Fired Vases

It all began with an early morning train from Grand-Central station to Port Chester and I had no idea of the amazing experience I was about to go through on this normal day. On this day I was introduced to the art of RAKU firing ceramics. The experience included glazing the pieces, firing the kiln, taking the pieces out to be kept in a saw-dust bin, taking them out by hand and cleaning them. All of these pieces feature ceramic enamel work, all hand-done by me. Such a stunning experience that I am going to remember all my life!
